1. CCSS.9-12.G.SRT.6:  Understand that by similarity, side ratios in right triangles are properties of the angles in the triangle, leading to definitions of trigonometric ratios for acute angles.

2. Assignment #4:  Bezier Selections and QuickMask Tool
1. Class:  Friday, March 21st
2. Must be completed before:  Friday, March 28th
3. Overview:  Part 1: This assignment introduces you to a very powerful tool in GIMP called the PATHS tool.   It allows you to create smooth curved lines based on ‘anchored’ points of your choosing.   You can use the paths to make selections or you can stroke the paths (as you did in the previous tutorial) to create designs and shapes. Part 2:  This part of the assignment introduces you to the QuickMask tool on GIMP.  The QuickMask tool allows you to make special types of selections.   In this lesson, you’ll use the quickmask tool to create a vignette effect on an image.   
4. Assignment Part 1:
1. Open GIMP 2.  
2. Open a web browser and navigate to this page:

2. Read through the tutorial.
3. Follow the steps in the tutorial to write your first name using the  PATHs tool.  
4. Exportthe final image as “09_PathsName.jpg”
5. Assignment Part 2:
1. Open a web browser and navigate to this page:

2. Read through the tutorial.
3. Follow the steps in the tutorial to add a different Vignette effect to three different images.
4. Export the final images as “10_Vignette_01.jpg”, “11_Vignette_02.jpg” and “12_Vignette_03.jpg”
