    **Photography**


    Note:  For this assignment, you'll want to spend some time searching the internet for a picture that would work well for this technique.     For example, you could do a google image search for "dark foreground photo".  

    Alternately, you could just use THIS photo or THIS photo or THIS photo.

      1. Assignment #10:   Image Manipulation For THIS tuturial, you need to use THIS image of a castle, and then choose either THIS or THIS background sky. These images have also been placed into your network folder at school, in a folder titled "Assignment 10" inside your photography class folder.

        2. Must be completed before:  Friday, May 9th, 2014
        3. Overview:  This tutorial demonstrates how to improve an image that is flat (i.e. without much excitement) by improving the sky.
          1. Open GIMP 2.  
          2. Open a web browser and navigate to this page:
            1. http://gimp-tutorials.net/flat-photograph
            2. Read through the tutorial.
            3. Open the CASTLE image in GIMP2, and also your choice of new sky (either this one or this one).
            4. Follow the steps (Beginning at STEP 2... skip step 1 for our image.) in the tutorial to change the sky in the image. NOTE: After selecting the sky in the Castle image, right-click and select MASK --> Add Layer Mask THEN Crop the image, to give it a panorama effect (Wide). When finished, your final image should look something similar to this:
            5. To complete this assignment, you need to export your adjusted image to your photography folder using the name:  “21_CastleSky.jpg”
